Mail App on iOS
While ITS encourages faculty and staff to use the Microsoft Outlook app, we understand that many users prefer to use the native mail app on their mobile devices. These instructions have been updated for OS26.
If you have any trouble setting up your email on your University-issued iPad, please contact academiccomputing@fairfield.edu.
Open Settings
Scroll down and tap Apps, then select Mail.
Tap Mail Accounts
Tap Add Account
Enter your Fairfield University email address and tap Next
Select Microsoft Exchange
Confirm your email is correct and update the description if you prefer, then tap Next
Tap Sign In
You will see a pop-up that states “Settings wants to use mmicrosoftonline.com to sign in”. tap Continue.
You will be redirected to Okta. Note: Currently, Microsoft applications pass your email through as the username in Okta which results in a failed log in attempt. Below the password textbook, select Back to Sign In.
Remove @fairfield.edu from your username, and tap Next
Enter your password
If you are not connected to FacStaff, FacStaff-S or Student, you will be prompted to verify your identify with DUO.

It can take several minutes to begin downloading emails in the Mail app.
