Stag Support FAQ

How do I login?

  1. Go to https://stagsupport.freshservice.com or https://itshelpdesk.fairfield.edu

  2. Click the ‘Sign in with NetID’ button

    Enter your NetID and password at SSO (Single Sign-On) page.

  3. Click Log In.

How do I create a new ticket?

  1. From the self service portal [link to come].

  2. Click on the “Report an issue”

    Fill in the required details: subject and description. Your email address should already be populated.

  3. Click Submit to create the ticket.

How do I request a Service

How do I reply to a ticket?

  1. Open the ticket from the ticket list in the bottom section of the front page.

  2. Scroll to the Reply section.

  3. Type your message and add any necessary attachments.

  4. Click Send to respond to the requester.

How do I add a note to a ticket?

  1. Open the ticket from the ticket list in the bottom section of the front page.

  2. Click on Add Note (next to or below the reply section).

  3. Choose Private Note (visible only to agents) or Public Note.

  4. Type your note and click Add Note.

Can I edit a note after adding it?

You can edit a note by clicking the pencil icon next to the note (if permissions allow).

How do I track the status of my submitted tickets?

  1. Open the ticket from the ticket list in the bottom section of the front page.

  2. Your open tickets will be listed on this screen.

  3. Click on any of the tickets to view updates or reply to the ticket.

How can I try to find an answer to my question before submitting a ticket?

To try to find an answer to your question, click Browse help articles.

Can I still email the Help Desk with a question?

Yes, you can still email itshelpdesk@fairfield.edu to create a ticket.

What happens to my tickets in the old ticketing system?

ITS will migrate any open tickets from the old SmartView ticketing system into the new Stag Support ticketing system. You will be able to see them on the home page of the new system.
