Why OneDrive (students)

  • 1 TB included—free while enrolled

  • Autosave + version history (no lost files)

  • Works best with Word/PowerPoint/Excel

  • Access anywhere; easy sharing

Why use OneDrive (students)

OneDrive integrates with Microsoft 365 and keeps your files consistent across devices and apps. Save once, access anywhere, and share with classmates with built‑in permissions.

  • Works great with Word/PowerPoint/Excel

  • Easy PDF export when needed

Before you start

  • Your University email address and password

  • A web browser (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, or Safari)

Step-by-step: Get set up and store files in OneDrive

  1. Sign in to Microsoft 365

    • Open the Microsoft 365 portal and sign in with your University email and password.

  2. Open OneDrive and create class folders

    • From the app launcher (grid), select OneDrive.

  3. Save or upload your files

    • In Word/PowerPoint/Excel: choose Save As and select your OneDrive account.

    • Or drag and drop files into the right class folder in OneDrive on the web.

Optional: Move files from Google Drive to OneDrive

  1. Open the Google file you want to move (Doc, Sheet, or Slide).

  2. Download a Microsoft version for best compatibility:

    • Docs → File > Download > Microsoft Word (.docx)

    • Slides → File > Download > Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx)

    • Sheets → File > Download > Microsoft Excel (.xlsx)

  3. Upload the downloaded files to the correct class folders in OneDrive.

  1. At the kiosk, choose Print from cloud storage and select OneDrive.

  2. Sign in with your University credentials if prompted.

  3. Open your “WEPA Prints” folder, pick the file, confirm print options (copies, color, pages), and release the job.

Best practices for trouble‑free printing

  • Prefer Office formats (.docx, .pptx, .xlsx) or export to PDF for fixed layouts.

  • Use standard fonts (Calibri, Arial) to avoid substitutions at the printer.

  • Check page size (Letter) and margins before uploading.

  • Keep filenames simple (letters, numbers, hyphens) for easy kiosk navigation.

Data protection and acceptable use

Store classwork and personal files that are not confidential. Follow University data storage policies and share files only with intended recipients. Review your OneDrive sharing settings regularly. If you leave the University, your Microsoft 365 access and associated OneDrive data may be deactivated—export anything you want to keep in advance.
