Access Resources Request Workflow Instructions - AD, Exchange, Wiki/Confluence, Etc.

 

Resource Access Request

This workflow should only be used when requesting access to a network resource for a Student, Staff, Temp, or Non-employee member that directly reports to you.

 

Network Resources List

  • Network Account (AD)

  • Exchange Mailbox (Includes AD)

    • Not an Exchange Resource Account

  • Confluence (Wiki)

  • Cascade (Labeled as Terminal 4)

  • Alertus

 

Confluence Access

Confluence must now be requested by submitting a ticket to the ITS Help Desk. When submitting the ticket, please include the user's full University email address and any Confluence permission groups they should be added to.

 

 


Directions

1. Log on to the NetIQ Identity Manager User App at: NetID User App

Please note that this website is only accessible while on-campus or using VPN

2. Select (click) on the Featured Item that represent the resource being requested.

DO NOT click on the 'New Request' button at the top

3. If the request is for yourself, click the box next to Requesting for Self

4. If the request is for a student or a staff member that reports to you, click the associated magnifying glass icon () to search for them.

Note:  You will only be able to request a resource for an employee who has you as their manager.

5. Then enter the Expiration Date, and Reason for Request

* Be sure to enter an expiration date if the request is for a student worker or a person who only temporarily needs this resource.

Expiration date cannot exceed more than 1 year from current date.

6. Press Submit when done. You will not receive an email of submission, only of completion. 

7. When the specified access to the network resource has been completed, you and/or the person who needs the access will receive an email notification via our ticketing system.
