Microsoft Office for iPads

Microsoft makes its basic suite of Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) available for free from the iPad App Store. While these apps can be used to read, edit, and create documents simply by setting up and logging in with a free Microsoft OneDrive account, the apps' complete set of features are only unlocked when you have a paid Microsoft Office 365 annual subscription.


Install and Sign Into to Office

  1. Open Jamf Self Service or the App Store to install the Office applications you wish to use.
  2. Launch one of the Microsoft apps to sign in.

  3. Upon the App's first launch, you will have an opportunity to Sign in to PowerPoint via Office 365.


  4. If this is your first time using the app, choose whether or not to allow Notifications, then tap Create and Edit Documents to continue.

Connecting to Your Cloud Storage

If you signed into an Office 365 account, your linked OneDrive storage will appear automatically.

  1. To add addition Cloud sources, including your Fairfield DropBox account, tap Open, then + Add Storage Account
  2. Select the storage account you wish to connect.

To link your Fairfield Dropbox account, choose Dropbox, enter your Fairfield Email address, and tap Continue. You will be prompted to authenticate with your Fairfield Net ID and current password.
