macOS MacOS version 10.13 or later requires that the Global Protect program be allowed in the security settings found under System Preferences as all third party applications are blocked by default.

System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General tab > System software from developer "Palo Alto Networks" was blocked from loading > Click Allow
