Lactation and Wellness Rooms

Fairfield University currently has one dedicated lactation room and two wellness rooms on campus and one wellness room on the Bellarmine Campus. All of these rooms are available for employees, students, and visitors.

DiMennna-Nyselius Library Lactation Room 

Location: DiMennna-Nyselius Library - Lower Level (Room 122) 

Features: A private space for caregivers to express breast milk. The space is equipped with a lockable door, a desk and adjustable chair, electrical outlets, mini refrigerator, and a restroom with a sink. 

Hours: Accessible during Library building hours.

Reservations Needed?: Yes. Room reservations can be made online in 30 minute increments up to two months in advance. Please contact Blythe Josovitz in Human Resources (bjosovitz@fairfield.edu) for the link to the scheduling site.


 

Dolan School of Business Wellness Room

Location: Dolan School of Business - Third Floor (Room 327)

Features: The wellness room is a designated, private area to be used to tend to personal/mental/emotional/physical health needs. This room can also be used as a place for caregivers to express breast milk. The room is not intended to be used for studying, phone calls, or work, and should not be used by anyone who is feeling sick or who may be contagious. The refrigerator should only be used for storage of breast milk and medications as necessary. The space is equipped with a lockable door, table and chairs, mini refrigerator, and electrical outlets.

Hours: Accessible at any time.

Reservations Needed?: No. Room is unlocked and available on a first come, first served basis. 


Egan School of Nursing Wellness Room 

Location: Egan School of Nursing - First Floor (Room 129)

Features: The wellness room is a designated, private area to be used to tend to personal/mental/emotional/physical health needs. This room can also be used as a place for caregivers to express breast milk. The room is not intended to be used for studying, phone calls, or work, and should not be used by anyone who is feeling sick or who may be contagious. The refrigerator should only be used for storage of breast milk and medications as necessary. The space is equipped with a lockable door, table and chairs, mini refrigerator, and electrical outlets.

Location: Bellarmine Campus Center (Room 108)

The refrigerator should only be used for storage of breast milk and medications as necessary. The space is equipped with a lockable door, table and chair, sink, cabinets with locks, mini refrigerator, and electrical outlets.

Hours: Accessible at any time.

Reservations Needed?: No. Room is unlocked and available on a first come, first served basis.
