Key Survey

Key Survey is the official survey software used by faculty and staff for institutional research purposes.  Key Survey is a robust survey management solution that offers a wide range of tools and features to meet every need with both power and flexibility.  Access to Key Survey is coordinated by the Office of Institutional Research.

Surveys of University faculty and students must be registered and coordinated through the Office of Institutional Research. Survey requests must be submitted at least 10 days prior to the proposed survey launch date. Surveys will be prioritized according to institutional need. Therefore, some survey requests may not be fulfilled immediately, and some survey requests may require additional approval(s). The Office of Institutional Research will respond with any additional questions or clarification directly to the requesting faculty or staff member.

Please register all surveys of faculty and students through the online survey registration form at www.fairfield.edu/surveyregistration.

Qualtrics

Qualtrics is a sophisticated online survey platform available to all faculty, staff, and students. Acquired with key support from ITS and the Frederickson Family Innovation Lab, the tool allows faculty across a wide range of disciplines to greatly enhance their teaching and research when it comes to data collection. Faculty, staff, and students can get started by going to my.Fairfield and searching for Qualtrics to access with Single Sign On.

Warning

The Office of the Provost asks that all surveys be coordinated with the Office of Institutional Research. Questions can be directed to ir@fairfield.edu or register your survey at www.fairfield.edu/surveyregistration.

Blackboard Surveys

Blackboard Surveys are built in to the Learning Management System (LMS), Blackboard, and are ideal for quick check-ins with your students. Blackboard Survey results are always anonymous, but faculty can see if a student has completed a survey and view aggregate results for each survey question.

Info

At this time, you can create surveys only in the Original Course View.
