Fairfield University's classroom televisions and projectors are equipped with Apple TVs, which allow you to mirror your device's screen via AirPlay or AirParrot.

Note: These resources reside in Academic Computing's Quip folder. Please visit the links below.

AirParrot

AirParrot is an application that allows you to wirelessly mirror your computer's screen to Fairfield's classroom Apple TVs via AirPlay.

Note: AirParrot is licensed by the Fairfield University ITS4U Help Desk. You will need to visit or contact the Help Desk (x4069 or itshelpdesk@fairfield.edu) to obtain your personalized license key.

Note: While AirParrot facilitates both your Mac's visuals and sound, you should not use it to show lengthy videos. Connecting your computer to an HDMI cable is the most reliable way to display videos. Please contact the ITS4U Help Desk at x4069 or itshelpdesk@fairfield.edu if you need an adapter for connecting your Mac to classroom cables.

AirPlay

These guides show how to connect to and disconnect from an Apple TV using AirPlay on your iOS device.

In order to connect to AirPlay, your iOS device must be registered for campus Wi-Fi use. For assistance with Wi-Fi registration, please contact the ITS4U Help Desk at x4069 or itshelpdesk@fairfield.edu.

Note: While AirPlay facilitates both your device's visuals and sound, you should not use it to show lengthy videos. Connecting your device to an HDMI cable is the most reliable way to display videos. Please contact the ITS4U Help Desk at x4069 or itshelpdesk@fairfield.edu if you need an adapter for connecting your iPad to classroom cables.
