The following is a list of mental health resources available to students at the Fairfield University Austin, TX campus.
Uwill
Uwill is a secure and private teletherapy platform that connects Fairfield University Austin nursing students with experienced mental health professionals. Students receive support from a licensed counselor of their choice in any format they choose - video, chat, messaging, or phone. Students can seek help for mood, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, poor body image, loneliness, academic challenges, and more.
How Does Uwill Work?
Using a solutions-oriented, holistic approach, therapists work with you collaboratively and teach tangible skills to help you accomplish your goals. Choose a therapist based on your preferences (issue, gender, language, ethnicity), and a time that works for you. Once a selection is made, you are connected to a counselor within 24 hours. Uwill makes it easy for you to quickly get the care you need while avoiding waitlists, lengthy referral processes, or insurance issues.
Who is Eligible?
All Fairfield University Austin nursing students have access to eight free sessions per year with Uwill which resets each year in August. Students are only prompted for payment if scheduling more than eight sessions.
How Do I Get Started?
You can access the Uwill platform by logging on to https://app.uwill.com and completing your profile using your school email address and current location. After completing, you can immediately view options and book an appointment with a therapist.
