Fairfield University licenses Apporto for Virtual Machines.There’s no download required - users can simply log in to fairfield.apporto.com from any browser and select the Virtual Desktop - Fairfield option and a full Windows environment will launch for them from any device - including MacOS, Windows, and iOS!
Access Apporto
- Go to https://fairfield.apporto.com
- Select Log in
- Enter your Fairfield NetID and password
- In the Apporto App Store, you will see any available Virtual Machines that have been set up for Fairfield University users. Unless instructed otherwise, launch the Virtual Desktop.
- Follow the prompts to set up your virtual desktop and get started.
It helps if you use a mouse, trackpad, and/or keyboard since the Windows OS is so dependent on it.
