Course Search Instructions for Advising Staff
Course Search Instructions for Advising Staff
There are several methods to view course schedules when advising students.
Browse Course Schedules through Registration Portal
- Visit fairfield.edu/registration and click on Browse Classes.
- Select the correct term and click Continue.
- If you leave all Search Criteria blank, it will return all course offerings for the term. It is also possible to search by subject, or use the advanced search to find courses by department or by attribute, such as diversity, residential college, service learning, and interdisciplinary minors.
- Search results will appear and you can lengthen the number of entries per page by changing the standard 10 to 50:
Degree Works
Please note that Degree Works only displays course-level attributes when using the attribute hyperlink within a rule. It does not show section-level attributes (i.e. Magis Core Signature Elements sections). You must use the Browse Classes functionality to search for those.
Banner Report
If you prefer a paper list, Program Assistants and Dean's Office staff have access to the Banner Report SZRSTRT, and can run a list of all courses or by department. Please note that this is not encouraged, as the most up to date information is always available online: in Banner and in the Web Registration portal.
