The holiday season is prime time for online scams. Here’s how to protect yourself:

Watch for Phishing:
Avoid clicking on links or sharing personal info in suspicious emails or texts. Double-check sender addresses.

Shop Smart:
Stick to trusted websites. Look for “https://” in the URL. Avoid shopping on public Wi-Fi.

Protect Your Accounts:
Use strong passwords and enable multi-factor authentication. Monitor your accounts for unusual activity.

Beware Gift Card Scams:
Verify requests for gift cards, even if they seem to come from someone you know.

Stay Socially Savvy:
Don’t overshare personal info or travel plans on social media.

If you spot a scam, report it to phishing@fairfield.edu and update compromised passwords immediately.
