macOS upgrade – Sequoia (macOS 15)

Apple released its operating system (macOS Sequoia) for Apple computers this fall. ITS has reviewed this operating system and is recommending that users upgrade.

As always, please back-up all important data prior to upgrading and check for specific application compatibility

If your Mac is not compatible with Sonoma macOS (does not show as an option in Software Update) please upgrade to the latest macOS your system is compatible with.

For best security ITS recommends updating to the latest OS your device is compatible with.

SPSS 29 & 30	Supported but Apporto recommended	ITS recommends using SPSS via Apporto where possible

Global Protect (VPN)	Supported	Will work
Pulse Secure (VPN)	Supported	Will work only if fully installed prior to the macOS upgrade
Networked University Printers	Supported	All networked Canons will work. Some networked HP’s may have issues.
Personal Printers and Third party user installed applications	Check with Manufacturer
