How to Clear the Cache Manually

1. Open the Settings menu via the three-line icon.

2. Navigate to Privacy & Security.

3. In the Cookies and Site Data section, click Clear browsing data.

4. Set the time range to Everything and ensure only Temporary cached files and pages is selected.

5. Click Clear.

Alternative: "Clear Recent History"

You can also clear the cache by clicking the menu button, selecting History, and then Clear Recent History.... This allows you to quickly toggle specific data types like cache, cookies, or browsing history.

Automating the Process

To have Firefox clear your cache every time you close the browser:

• Go to Privacy & Security > History.

• Change the dropdown to Use custom settings for history.

• Check Clear history when Firefox closes and use the Settings button to select Temporary cached files and pages.
