Outlook Password Prompt

 

If your Outlook is showing “need password” or “unable to connect to Microsoft Server” as showing below Please follow these steps-

On the Windows Security box (grey pop up), Please click the “More Choices” then “Use a different account”..

You should see the username field become empty, and below the password field should see “FFLDU”

Please enter your Fairfield Netid (Username/Password, not the full email address) and select “Remember my credentials”

Click “ok” and your Outlook will show “connected to Microsoft Server” / “all folders are up to date” in the bottom right corner.

*** You will be prompted for every email address you have connected (your email and any department email addresses). Please continue to enter YOUR NetID username/password for each account and select “remember my credentials”

If you experience any issue following this process, or not finding it not resolving the issue. Please contact the Help Desk at ext. 4069. It may be a factor that your account is locked from too many attempts to sign in. Technicians can assist to unlock and reset your password if needed.

If the account is locked, it will automatically unlock after 15 minutes.
