Blank Student Activity Logs for Assessments

The student activity report is not loading the students' list initially. However, it loads correctly after refreshing the page. If the user navigates back to the course page and then attempts to run the report again, it fails to load.

  1.  Log into Blackboard Learn Ultra Experience as an administrator

  2. Create a course and enroll students

  3. Create a test

  4. Access the test as a student and make a submission or start an attempt

  5. Log in as an instructor > Access the course > Access the test > Click on Student Activity

  6. If no data displays, refresh the page.

Resolved “Undefined Link” for Kaltura Video Assignments

Students can review any assignment submissions after clicking submit. For video assignments, when students click on “View Submission” to review their post and see their grades and feedback, their submission has an Undefined Link instead of the video player.

Instructors can still see the embedded video even though students are only able to see the undefined link.

iPadOS 18 Compatibility Issues with Blackboard

Respondus LockDown Browser

iPadOS 18 is not yet a compatible operating system for LockDown Browser, due to issues Apple has found with that version of the operating system.

Kaltura Videos

Apple devices iOS/iPadOS 18 and macOS Sequoia might experience the error "You must enable 3rd party cookies" when attempting to play a video. This is caused by Apple removing a crucial cookie from the system and browser settings.

Grading in Blackboard

There is a known issue in which if you enter a grade within the gradebook it will show up as an override grade. With the override grade status it will still show as a submission needs grading. To fix this you need to open the submission and grade on the submission level.

There is a second known issue where in some cases the gradebook will not update when grades are added. If this happens:

  1. Remove the grade and exit out of the screen

  2. Go back in and re-enter the same grade

  3. The post button appears and grade will be posted
