Student Mobile Device Network Registration Instructions (ISE)
Devices running any version of iOS or Android can be registered to the network.
Network Registration on iOS
Go to Settings
on your iOS Device, then go to Wi-Fi.
If you are connected “Guest” network be sure to disconnect and forget the “Guest” network. This is mandatory for Student Wi-Fi to function.
Connect to STUDENT network in your Wi-Fi settings on the mobile device and log on with your credentials.
Once connected to Student click on “Private Wi-Fi Address”
Select “Fixed”
Once you have set the Private Wi-Fi address to “Fixed” you can close settings.
*You may need to disconnect and re-join Student for it to take affect. Do not re-connect to Guest network as this will take precedence over Student network.
Network Registration on Android
Go to Settings on your Android Device, then go to Wi-Fi.
Connect to STUDENT network in your WiFi settings on the mobile device.
Select 'Trust on First Use' in the CA certificates dropdown
Enter NetID and password when prompted in the Identity and Password fields.
Do NOT turn off Private MAC, leave the default setting to randomize.
Tap Connect
When asked to trust the certificate click ‘Yes, trust certificate’, then the network should be connected
If certificate errors are encountered, verify that MAC Privacy is set to ‘Use randomized MAC (default).
