Duo: Add A Device

  1. Access the Duo Device Management Portal

  2. Click the Add Device link.

  3. Click Duo Mobile

  4. Are you adding a phone or tablet?

    1. Phone

      1. Enter your phone number

        1. Enter the phone number

        2. Click Continue

      2. Verify the correct number exists under “Is this correct”

        1. If it is correct click “Yes, it’s correct”

        2. If it is incorrect click “No, I need to change it”

    2. Tablet: Click “I have a tablet”

  5. On your device, download the “Duo Mobile” app and then click “Next” on your computer.

  6. On your computer screen you’ll see a prompt to scan a QR code.
    Keep this page open as you’ll need to scan the QR code that appears on your computer screen into the Duo Mobile app on your phone.

  7. On your device, open the newly installed “Duo Mobile” app.

  8. Tap “Set up account”

  9. Tap “Use a QR code”

  10. Using your device, scan the QR code that appears on your computer screen.
    Note: The screenshot below intentionally does not contain a QR code.

  11. On your device, keep the default Account name of “Fairfield University” and tap “Save”

  12. The “Fairfield University” account show now appear within the Duo Mobile app on your device.

  13. On your computer screen, click “Continue”.

  14. You should receive an email confirmation that a new device was added to your Duo account.
