Mobile Printing from iOS Devices via Secure Print for Canon MFPs

iOS Mobile Printing (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, etc.)


iOS Printing involves attaching the desired file for printing to an email application and sending the document via email to print@fairfield.edu.  Different applications may require slightly different steps to create the attachment to an email.  Below are two common examples one might experience trying to print from an iOS device (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch).
When sending to print@fairfield.edu, you must use your @fairfield.edu Exchange account.

Directions for Mobile Printing in Apple Pages for iOS

  1. Open the document on the application associated with the file to be printed. (Example: Apple Pages).  Once the document is on the screen, press the “square icon with an arrow up ”  It is located near the top right corner of the screen.


  2. Select Send a Copy


  3. Send to “print@fairfield.edu” from @fairfield.edu account. Subject is not necessary.
  4. Select the Send button.  Please see instructions for Secure Print on Canon MFP’s to retrieve your print job.


Directions for Mobile Printing in Microsoft Word for iOS

  1. Open the Microsoft Word app. (Process would be the same for other Office applications.)
  2. Locate document to be printed (ex. “Mobile print”)
  3. Select the square w/arrow icon


  4. Select  Share


  5. Send to “print@fairfield.edu” from @fairfield.edu account. Subject is not necessary.
  6. Select the Send button.  Please see instructions for Secure Print on Canon MFP’s to retrieve your print job.
