iPhone - How to remove your email account for @fairfield.edu and re-add it for native iOS mail application for M365

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad

  1. Choose Mail from the Settings list, on the left hand side.

  1. Tap Accounts and select the account you'd like to remove. Be sure it’s your @fairfield.edu account if you have multiple accounts.

  1. Hit Delete Account at the very bottom of the account details screen.

  1. Tap Delete Account to confirm this action. 

 

To re-add your Microsoft 365 (M365) email account to the Mail app on your iPhone, follow

these steps:

 

Steps to Re-add Your M365 Mail Account in iPhone Mail App 

  1. Open Settings 

  • Unlock your iPhone and go to Settings.

  1. Navigate to Mail Accounts 

  • Scroll down and tap Mail

  • Tap Accounts

3. Add a New Account 

  • Tap Add Account

  • Select Microsoft Exchange from the list. 

  1. Enter Your Email Address 

  • Type your M365 email address (email address@fairfield.edu ) and tap Next

  • Tap Sign In when prompted. 

  1. Sign in to Your Microsoft 365 Account 

  • You’ll be redirected to the Microsoft sign-in page

  • Enter your M365 email password and tap Sign In

  • If your organization has Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enabled, complete the verification process. 

  1. Choose What to Sync 

  • Once signed in, select what you want to sync (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Notes). 

  • Tap Save

  1. Open the Mail App 

  • Go back to your home screen and open the Mail app to check if your M365 emails are syncing. 

Now your Microsoft 365 email should be successfully re-added and working on your iPhone!
