Zoom Cloud Recordings and Kaltura My Media
Since Spring 2022, Zoom cloud recordings have automatically been backed up to Kaltura My Media. For recordings older than XX, ITS recommends downloading the files you wish to keep from Zoom and uploading them to Kaltura.
As of February 1, 2023, Zoom cloud recordings older than 1 year (365 days) have been automatically be sent to a trash folder for 30 days before being permanently deleted.
Seven (7) days before the files are deleted, Zoom will generate an email notifying you that the recordings will be deleted unless you choose to restore them. The email will come from No-Reply@zoom.us and look similar to the following message:
You have recording(s) that will be permanently deleted in 7 days, please click the link below if you want to restore the recording(s).
